Standards & Integrity
Editorial Policy
How Sine & Cell gathers technical specifications, verifies manufacturer data, and corrects published material.
Primary Documentation & Data Sourcing
Our editorial reviews are built on technical literature rather than vendor press releases. We rely on:
- Original Engineering Manuals: User guides, schematics, and service documentation issued by hardware manufacturers.
- Regulatory & Safety Filings: Underwriters Laboratories (UL), FCC, and CE certification documentation verifying stated safety mechanisms.
- Cell Manufacturer Specifications: Prismatic and cylindrical cell data sheets detailing nominal voltage, chemistry type (LiFePO4 vs. NMC), and cycle degradation rates.
Standard Computational Baselines
Nominal watt-hours do not equal delivered energy. To prevent misleading runtime projections, our articles employ standard conversion efficiency offsets:
AC inverter conversion operations assume an industry-standard baseline of 10% to 20% parasitic consumption and thermal loss (operating at 0.80 to 0.85 efficiency), unless a manufacturer data sheet provides verified continuous loss curves at specified loads.
Corrections & Spec Revision Procedure
Portable energy hardware specifications can alter between manufacturing batches through updated firmware, BMS modifications, or port reconfiguration. Sine & Cell enforces a structured protocol for maintaining accuracy:
1. Intake & Verification
When discrepancies in battery chemistry, continuous surge allowances, or port assignments are identified, our editors cross-check current manufacturer firmware logs and official documentation.
2. Transparent Amendment
If a numerical value, runtime formula, or compatibility assessment is revised, the article is updated directly, and a visible correction note detailing the changed spec is appended to the relevant section.
